Reverberatory furnace

The reverberatory furnace is the most widely used type of furnace at present. The radiation type aluminium melting furnace mainly uses flame and high temperature furnace wall to carry out high temperature radiation heat transfer to melt the burden.
This kind of furnace uses radiation hot melting aluminium, the heat absorbed by the burden is limited, and the thermal efficiency is only 8%. Therefore, in recent years, convective aluminium melting furnace has been widely used.
Convective melting furnace is a melting furnace with convective heat transfer as the main mode. High-speed burners or super-high-speed burners are commonly used in fast aluminium melting furnaces and other types of furnaces. The flame speed is as high as 120-150 m/s. With high-speed burner, the heat transfer efficiency is obviously improved, and its thermal efficiency is more than 2/3 higher than that of radiation burner. Secondly, due to the reduction of furnace temperature and strong convection of furnace gas, the metal burning loss is greatly reduced. So it has been widely used.
Convective reverberatory furnaces have different structures. The characteristics of this kind of furnaces are as follows: the furnaces have no hearth. Aluminum melts while flowing out of the furnace along the bottom of the inclined furnace and enters the static furnace. When the cooling starts, the aluminium can be produced after melting for 5 - 10 minutes. After stopping the furnace, the aluminium can be discharged in 1 - 2 minutes. It is easy to operate and can continuously produce aluminium water. The burner burning speed is adjustable.
This kind of furnace has less energy consumption. The furnace can be specially used for melting waste beverage cans and extruding profile waste. Fig. 4 shows that the flow of fast aluminium smelting furnace consists of tower preheating zone and box heating zone. The burden is loaded into the tower furnace through the top of the bucket skew bridge hoist tower. The waste gas contacts with the furnace charge to preheat the furnace charge. The temperature can reach 300 ~ 400 C. A high-speed nozzle is installed at the bottom of the tower furnace to melt the furnace charge. The gas velocity is 100-300 m/s. The charge is heated by impact to melt rapidly. The molten aluminium melts into the heating zone along the inclined bottom of the furnace. A burner with low flame spreading ability is installed at the top of the hoist greenhouse. The molten aluminium is heated to the casting temperature and is put in a static position.
